Thursday 3-Tank Safari including Drift Dives (with rates)

(prices subject to change)

Depart on the Hercules for a day of Advanced Diving!

The Hercules boat will depart Thursday morning from the marina at approximately 8:30 AM, for three tank excursion- This dive excursion is geared more towards advanced divers and experienced boaters. Trips will include all our Favorite Destinations as well as more remote dive sites. Because the Hercules boat is smaller and faster, we are able to reach some further-away dive sites in short time periods. This Thursday dive safari is basically an all-day, small group event, and the boats typically return to the marina at about 4:00 PM (add some additional time for the bus to take you back to your hotel).

  • For off-island reservations (before you arrive in Turks & Caicos) use our reservation form here and mention in the “special comments” section that you want to reserve a "Thursday 3-Tank Safari".

  • For on-island divers and vacationers, please call our shop at 941-3346 and ask our friendly staff to "sign you up" for the Thursday 3-Tank Safari. Inform them of the days you want to dive and what equipment you may need to rent.

North Shore Shark Hole
$205.00 for the Day

Must Have Advanced Certification due to Depth (Max. 130 feet)
Shark hole is a superb dive site; starting at 45 feet a large natural hole drops down to 90 feet. At the bottom of the hole there is an arch which gives access to the other side of the reef. The walls of the hole are home to dozens of crab, lobster, and other reef activity. Most of the time we spot reef sharks swimming on the outside of the arches, definitely a spectacular scene!

Parrot Cay/Whale Watching
$205.00 for the Day

January/February/ March

First, we dive the reef. Then during the interval, we cruise a little more offshore expecting to find some whales. If weather is acceptable, we will repeat that during the second interval (between 2nd and 3rd dive); but if weather is not cooperating, we will take a break on Pine Cay Beach for Lunch (I think it's one of TCI's most beautiful beaches.)

Take advantage of greater freedom while diving on our 3-Tank Safari!

Because this dive safari is geared to both "a small group of up to 8 persons max onboard" and divers with a good baseline of experience (you know your true level); there is great advantage in diving freedom including less divers in the water (you can partner dive in minimum groups of two for non-drift dives), longer down time versus being regulated by the worst breather in the group (but per your computer profile). At least one dive of the three dives will include a group drift dive, whereby you will cover extensive linear footage [thousands of yards] along the wall traversing many interesting coral and wall profiles and encountering many larger species (reef shark, eagle ray, maybe a hammerhead). Each of three dives will last about an hour, with 1 hour intervals between dives (we serve sandwiches, and depending on what dive site the captain has chosen, it is often possible to pull up to a sheltered remote beach during this interval). The trip to the dive walls (and back again- each way) is approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
