Diving
in the Bahamas for Advanced & Experienced Divers
We
cater to experienced divers. Our whole philosophy and business has
been built around a quality product for experienced divers. This
principal starts right from the beginning: we are truly the most
progressive dive operator in Turks and Caicos for exploring and
diving "the most pristine" dive sites. Each day, we set
off for a 30 to 45 minute boat ride to find the best site, given
that day's conditions. We
do not want to spoil your dive vacation by taking you to a fantastic
dive site and telling you, "don't go below 100 feet" or
"maximum time is 40 minutes". This is not our style.
If you are clearly advanced or experienced, buddy up and the "pool
is open". Most experienced scuba diving vacationers will have
average dives of over 60 minutes, and be limited primarily by deco
time and the depth limit depending on your level of certification.
For the first diving in the Bahamas experience, if you do not have
total confidence navigating the dive site, feel free to trail one
of our guided groups from a distance. You have your freedom, without
the hindrance of having to find the boat at the end.
Generally speaking,
most experienced divers have a natural propensity to want to "go
deep"; however it usually does not pay off to go below 100
feet (unless of course you are chasing something big - a six pod
of eagle ray, perhaps?) Most wall terrain starts to diminish (from
a coral and wildlife point of view) at about 100 feet. Most of the
big fish are up at the thermal forms between 40 and 70 feet. Since
most of the action is in this 40 to 70 foot range it would be more
beneficial to go diving in the Bahamas for longer periods of time
rather than deeper. Of course that decision is completely up to
you.
We
recognize that most good scuba diving individuals are not limited
by their air supply, but rather their deco time. This scenario is
why we provide Nitrox as an optional air supply to you. For experienced
divers who have never tried Nitrox, don't be bashful. Our friendly
staff, will educate you, walk you through the differences, and set
you up in confidence - that is why we are here! See Nitrox
Program for more information.

Diving
in the Bahamas is not just for beginners! The Bahamas offers an array
of diving sites for the more advanced diver to explore. Diving in
the Bahamas is unlike any other dive site you've experienced. Typically
the more advance scuba diving explorers want to "go deep"; however
at Turks & Caicos, the majority of the underwater life & reef forms
are at 100 feet deep. For this reason, we recommend our scuba diving
in the Bahamas participants to stay "shallow," experiencing longer
& more enjoyable dives. Of course, with Caicos Adventures, we give
our advanced divers more freedom to explore the underwater world.
As we say, "the pool is open."
Caicos Adventures is an incredible dive operator for both advanced & beginner divers. For beginners, we offer fully guided tours, courses & equipment to help new divers truly enjoy their experience. More advanced participants diving in the Bahamas, are given more freedom to explore on their own. We do not regulate one's dive time or area to dive. Your limitations are simply based on certification, deco time & air time. Diving in the Bahamas is an incredible opportunity to discover an underwater world of reefs, fish, shark & much more! Have Caicos Adventures guide you to the most pristine & unspoiled areas of Turks & Caicos.
